The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me!

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

As I start this writing challenge, I am in the midst of another challenge. Three years ago, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It was a shock. My family and friends rallied around me and I beat it. I was cancer free for three years! On February 6, 2018, I called my husband and said “I can’t do this anymore.” I thought I was having a nervous breakdown. After MRIs and a brain biopsy, we were told the Lymphoma was back and in my brain. There is still a 70% cure rate. I am lucky. It is curable.

I am now on Day 15 of my first round of chemo regiment.

My very supportive husband says I need to find something to keep my mind busy. I have always wanted to write, so here I am writing. I am a first year SOL.

I will not let the cancer limit me.
